Program Fund Applications
The LGBT Center has streamlined the funding application process to better support Penn student groups. We now offer a unified (small and large fund requests) program fund application to support on-campus events that are LGBTQ+ focused, especially those promoting collaboration among LGBTQ+ groups. Note that this funding is separate from SAC (Student Activities Council) funding; for SAC-related questions, please contact the SAC team directly.
Application Process:
- Submission Deadline: Applications must be submitted at least four weeks prior to your event. This allows time for review, fund transfer requests, and processing. Please plan ahead, as this is not an instantaneous process.
- Funding Amount: You can request up to $1,000 for your event(s). If you collaborate with up to two additional organizations, the available funding can increase to up to $2,000. Please note that this does not apply to events during QPenn week.

Travel / Conference Fund Application
Students currently enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania are eligible to apply to the Center for an LGBTQ+ conference travel grant if they do not have sufficient funding available through conference organizers or elsewhere. If the costs of attending a conference exceed those available through other sources, including those on campus, students may apply to the Center for supplemental funding up to once per year. Funds will be made available taking into account the number of students applying, the availability of other travel funds, the amount requested, and previous travel funding from the Center. Students receiving travel funds must use their experience at the conference to enrich Penn’s LGBT community in a meaningful way. Requests must be made six weeks before the conference.
